Enjoying the Arts

The arts are big in Stowe, so happily our little town is studded with eclectic art galleries galore. Be sure to check out two of our favorites, Green Mountain Fine Art Gallery and the Robert Paul Galleries.

Many of our region’s finest artists are on display here, along with nationally and internationally acclaimed works ranging from paintings and sculptures to glass work and porcelain. You can also explore the galleries’ sculpture garden and nearby shops.

A relatively new jewel in Stowe’s arts crown, the handsome Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center offers locals and visitors alike the chance to see performances by exceptional artists from around the world.

Whether you’re in the mood for music from some of the area’s most talented bands, creative films, or crowd-pleasing plays and performances, chances are you’ll find something perfect for everyone in the family to experience.

The Great Outdoors

Some of the best non-ski activities in Stowe, VT will still let you experience the gorgeous scenery and natural beauty of Vermont.

Dogsled tours offer a particularly unique glimpse into Vermont life, as you go for an exciting ride through Stowe’s woodlands and meadows, taking in spectacular mountain views.

You can also take a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh, spend time ice skating, winter zip lining, or never even leave the property by exploring our grounds sledding, on snowshoes, or cross-country skis. We have equipment available to rent for the whole family!

Indulge in a Spa Day

Let’s say you came to Stowe to ski. Well, even the most ardent mountain explorers can always use a little stress relief! Fortunately, Stowe has a number of great spas where you can warm up and let your stress melt away.

The Top Notch Spa is another good choice. This 35,000 square foot facility has private men’s and women’s spa lounges with fireplaces and juice bars, plus a 60 foot solarium indoor pool, and a spacious outdoor family pool with a lap lane. The whole family can spend the day here, or couples can escape for a side-by-side massage.

The Spa at Stowe Mountain Lodge offers a full‐service fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, hot tubs, a relaxing spa sanctuary lounge, a hot/cold treatment facility, and 18 private treatment rooms. They even have a “KidSpa” for children ages six and older!
