Like many resort towns, Stowe has some amazing choices for fine dining…

We love living in Stowe for the access to the outdoors and the chill environment for our kids to grow up in, no pun intended! But we are also big fans of really good food. To this end, Stowe is a constant treat. Here are a few of the restaurants that are on our radar for this winter season!

Bistro at Ten Acres

“I head to Ten Acres a couple times a year and the holiday season is a must. What a lovely evening of outstanding service, perfect cocktails, and a delicious meal. It was all tied up with a charming holiday bow–a crackling, fire, Nat King Cole and twinkling lights. If you come to Stowe, be sure and dine at Ten Acres!! ❤️️”

-TripAdvisor comment, December 2016

Consistently rated in the top fine dining restaurants in Stowe, the Bistro at Ten Acres is one of our favorite restaurants.  It offers a wide range of delicious dishes and full bar providing micro brews, an excellent wine list, and “freshly pressed cocktails.”

Ten Acres is home to the bistro and to two sweet rental cottages. It is owned and managed by Linda Hunter and Mark Fucile. They author a blog about their experience transporting this Stowe Vermont home into a wonderful dining experience. They are definitely worth checking out!

Harrison’s

“the food is wonderful and the staff is delightful. Nice downtown location, especially lovely during this holiday season with all the lights.”
-TripAdvisor comment, December 2016

An OpenTable Diner’s Choice award winner in 2015, Harrison’s is another top fine dining destination in Stowe.  From fresh New England seafood to a Vegetable Stir-Fry, Harrison’s will certainly have something for everyone to enjoy.

The heavily-wooded interior decor coupled with old-fashioned booth seating will make you feel right at home in Harrison’s main dining area.

The warm, cabin-in-the-woods ambiance will make you and your dinner guests comfortable and cozy.

Plate on Main Street

“Plate is a wonderful, cozy restaurant in the heart of Stowe Village. Great selection of tapas, soups and salads and larger plates. Tried the Souffle, the Scallops and Heirloom Tomato starters and they were all delicious and filling.”
-TripAdvisor comment, October 2016

Plate on Main Street in Stowe is easily one of the most architecturally beautiful fine dining establishments in the village.  To describe Plate’s aesthetics in any way besides awe-inspiring would be doing it a disservice, and the food doesn’t disappoint.

Plate’s rustic yet contemporary outlay reminisces days gone by while projecting into the future.  A versatile menu for virtually any taste and suitable selection will ensure that any member of your dinner party will be pleased with the offerings.

Dining Room at Edson Hill

“Beautiful setting and cozy atmosphere make for a very enjoyable evening. Service was attentive and prompt. Maine oysters on the half shell was a surprise treat.”

We are a part of the Vermont Fresh Network, a partnership between Vermont farmers and chefs, which means we deliver locally sourced, farm fresh produce, meats, and cheeses in every dish.  Our chefs enjoy creating exquisite cuisine in our country inn setting.
