Simply put this place is amazing. Beautiful scenery and an amazing staff – Edson hill is a special place. Breakfast and dinner with a view and close proximity to great swimming and biking – can’t wait to go back. – Ross M.
This place is absolutely fantastic! We ate outside on the patio, and had outstanding service from Vinnie! The food and drinks were top notch! Just up the street from Stowe, away from all the touristy stuff. Very quiet with amazing Vermont views! – Jonathan T
After having visited here more than 20 times and dining here too many times to count, my beautiful bride Stacey and I decided to marry here this past Tuesday, August 4th! I cannot begin to recount how absolutely perfect the occasion was, from the total involvement and beautiful execution of all the arrangements that Allison, the event manager, coordinated to all the sincere love and happiness that the entire Edson Hill staff showed us. The food was exceptional as always and Edson Hill remains one of our favorite restaurants anywhere. – Richard A.
It was a perfect late summer evening (no bugs!) and we were fortunate to have the picnic table. As we enjoyed your delicious snacks, we sat watching a kingfisher catching supper; mother mallard herding the four remainders of her brood to safety; and the local Merlin catching dragon flies – all oblivious of our presence. Then came La Piece de Resistance- lobster rolls! Ten out of ten: even our lady from Boston could not find fault! All in all a great evening.
Cozy! Romantic! With the best food in Stowe!!! Greeted with candlelight and a fire the casual elegance sets the tone for a special evening . I have eaten here probably a dozen times and it has been perfection every time.
“We had a perfect stay at Edson Hill this past weekend! Everything was a dream! We were guests here during a beautiful wedding weekend. The staff was such a joy and the service impeccable! We will definitely return.” – Paige G.
The Edson Hill Dining Room was the best dining experience we had in all of our days in Stowe. The food was absolutely spectacular, the service was attentive, the atmosphere was beautiful and literally everything was right. Hands-down, this was the best dining experience we had in all of our days while visiting Stowe. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
“It was the most memorable dining experience that we’ve all shared together, seeing the sun setting over Mt. Mansfield in the distance, dining on the patio al fresco, sharing stories and savoring every bite of the artfully prepared meals. The dishes had ingredients that worked so well together, robust flavors that were refreshing yet unique to everyone’s palates. The wait staff was incredibly attentive & personable, the aesthetic was comforting & true to a Vermont countryside manor, the whole experience was pure bliss.” – Ryan G., July 2023
“Edson Hill is more than the sum of its parts – the location, the food (best cocktails I have had in recent memory), the rooms were all exceptional on their own but the experience combined made for a truly amazing stay”. – Corinne Kenney
“The place is stunning. Chic and classic but not fussy. So welcoming. We are downstairs in the tavern next to the fireplace and enjoyed amazing service and incredible food. The manager came to say hello and see how we enjoyed our meal. Lovely, lovely, lovely. We highly recommend Edson Hill. We will be back for sure.” – December 2022
“Best Thanksgiving Ever – We could not have enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday any more than we did. 4 couples -all good friends and we remained so after 3 days together. The accommodations were very comfortable and the views from every window were wonderful. Some of us enjoyed wood buring fireplaces in our rooms which made it even better. This may be a new tradition.” – Peter W., November 2022
