Stephanie & Nick | August 7, 2021 –

With family near and far all over the world, Stephanie & Nick departed the city of Los Angeles, California to bring their families and friends together in Nick’s home state of Vermont. With the help of a local wedding planner and event design house, Harlow & Dahlia Events, the pair planned a charming weekend retreat in Stowe, Vermont. With private access to grounds full of lush greens, mountain views and fresh summer blooms, Edson Hill made the perfect East Coast getaway for the two to make their love official.

The couple’s special weekend began on a cool August evening in Vermont’s late summer; kicking off with a lively welcome party at the Manor House’s Upper Patio on Friday night preceded by a ceremony rehearsal in  the wedding meadow as the sun set over the Worcester range. S + N’s evening-before was filled with laughter and smiles as the two welcomed wedding guests to the property after long days of extensive travel.

Saturday morning began with Stephanie & her wedding party pampering themselves in the bridal suite. The ladies noshed on a light spread prepared by the Chef, and sipped mimosas. The bride’s wedding day look was simply gorgeous; her clean strapless dress was complemented with lace and topped off with a low bun hairstyle and classic long veil and finalized with contemporary beauty touches by Grounded and Glamourous

Guests were welcomed upon arrival to the late afternoon ceremony with a bubbling glass of Gruet Blanc de Blanc, from Albuquerque, NM. Stephanie walked down the aisle accompanied by her mother to the natural arbor, beautifully adorned with lavender, on the wedding meadow where she and Nick said their “I Do’s”.

The couple’s reception was beneath an airy Tidewater Sailcloth Tent from Vermont Tent Company. Everyone sat down for a shared family style meal at long, farm tables. Captured by Drew Bird Photography and inspired by the french countryside, the entire reception space was filled with green focused details and soft touches such as candle lights with wine bottle candle sticks, and bold emerald colored carousel glasses for an extra pop of color on the dark-toned tables, pulling from the lush greenery and grass surroundings.  Nectar & Root’s floral designs were playful and romantic. The arrangements transported the tabletops to the french countryside with rustic pottery vases filled with olive sprigs, lavender, echinacea, dara daucus, and other complementary purple tones with touches of white cosmos and subtle yellow details,

Guests exchanged laughs and memories of the newlyweds while sipping on some of the couple’s favorite specialty cocktails, including a local Vermont favorite: the Tomcat Bee’s Knees made with Bar Hill Gin.

The dinner concluded with a North Country Donuts cake cutting amidst joyful toasts from the best man, the maid-of-honor, and the father-of-the-groom. Cake, smiles, toasts, and dancing fuel with a little help from the couple’s signature wedding staple: an after party Espresso Bar from Espresso Daves Coffee Catering was the perfect combination for Affinity NYC to keep the dancefloor full all night long!
