We first met Alex and Dave at Edson Hill in late 2019 in their search for Vermont wedding venues; flash forward to spring of 2020 and we were in the midst of planning their wedding during a lockdown. Their originally scheduled wedding date of October 3, 2020 seemed like miles away at the time, and there was no way we would still be dealing with Coronavirus by the fall, right?

Well, on a visit to Edson Hill for their engagement shoot on June 20th, the time of year where Vermont really starts to become lush & green, full of blooms, you remember why Vermont is called the “Green Mountain State”. After a long discussion, we collaboratively decided postponing their wedding was the best decision for them. Instead of moving to the same date in October 2021, the couple chose June 19, 2021 – exactly one year from their visit.

After postponing and lots of planning, the Dartmouth duo’s long awaited Stowe wedding weekend came to life right before their eyes. The bride and groom arrived in Stowe on the Wednesday before their wedding and enjoyed a romantic dinner together in the Dining Room at Edson Hill. The festivities rolled into Thursday evening with a family welcome party in town before the wedding weekend officially began.

The morning of June 18th began with a sharp 8:00AM tee time at Stowe Country Club for Dave and his groomsmen. After their round of golf the groomsmen enjoyed cold buckets of beer on the Tavern patio while the rest of the wedding guests arrived on property for the Rehearsal Dinner. David’s father, Richard, began the memorable weekend with a warm welcome toast to celebrate the soon-to-be bride and groom.

A + D soaked up their gorgeous wedding day under an elegant tent from Vermont Tent Company with rentals and tabletop items from PEAK Event Services, highlighted with stunning white florals from Jasper & Prudence Floral & Events. Alex’s bridesmaids wore light blue patterned dresses while Brunello Cucinelli took care of the groomsmen. Alex wore a simple, elegant gown from Lela Rose Ceremony Boston that paired perfectly with her exquisite Christian Louboutin heels.

The couple took every up and down in stride, so seeing their special weekend finally come together with a dream team of vendors on a beautiful day was a dream come true.
