The Seasons at Edson Hill

Edson Hill

Year-Round

EXPERIENCE NATURE: A simple walk from the Guest Houses to the Manor enlivens the senses. Soak in the scenic rolling fields and forests on the property, take deep breaths of fresh air, and enjoy the restorative effects of your Vermont getaway.

VISIT THE HORSES: Edson Hill is home to two horses, Blaze and Knight, who enjoy greeting residents as they arrive on property. Walk the grounds, tour the Nordic Center, and watch the horses frolic in their pasture. PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE HORSES, thank you.

RELAX IN OUR COMMON AREAS: Bring a favorite book or select one from our collection and nestle into a chair next to the roaring fire in the Manor House Living Room. Challenge your friend to a game of Scrabble or Monopoly and enjoy conversation with guests from around the globe.

Winter

NORDIC SKIING & SNOWSHOEING: Edson Hill’s historic trail network was created by the Heath Family in the 1950s.  Maintained by an old “Trucker” snowcat with skis on the front, Larry Heath remembers skijoring with guests way back then.  Edson Hill’s current team has been working hard to bring the trails and our entire nordic offering back to its glory while providing our guests and all of Stowe with another great ski area for groomed cross country skiing, side- and back-country access as well as snowshoeing.

Spring | Summer | Fall

HIKING: The same trail network used for cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter also provide beautiful hiking trails in the summer and fall. Pack a snack for your hike and wander up to Peak-A-View where you can take a seat on the bench while overlooking the Green Mountains. Trail maps are available at the front desk.

SWIMMING: Our outdoor, unheated and refreshing swimming pool is open July through Labor Day. There is no lifeguard on duty. The pool is open from 8am until dusk. Our pond is deep, spring fed, and waiting for you to jump in! To access the pool and pond, please use the stairs off our lower patio by the Tavern. Pool towels are available at the front desk.
