Meghan & Matt | May 22, 2021 –

Meghan & Matt planned their Vermont wedding at Edson Hill from start to finish in under five months. While not common, the host’s dedication to the event made the planning process a breeze.

With an intimate group of 50 of their closest family and friends, the party was truly able to make Edson Hill their “home away from home” with all guests on-site together in our 22 individually designed and inspired guest rooms.

The event floral design was conceptualized by our talented local friends at Bramble + Bloom. Fitting in naturally with Edson Hill’s esthetic, the couple envisioned a look that was clean, classic understated elegance with loose, natural and organic florals.

The picturesque Stowe wedding day started with a gourmet breakfast in the Dining Room, and their guests had the rest of the morning to enjoy the grounds & village of Stowe with beautiful spring weather. Meghan & her girlfriends enjoyed a morning of pampering in the bridal suite, Do Unto Others, while Matt & the boys got ready and had lunch in the Tavern.

Meghan and her Dad hopped in a classic ‘51 Chevy to get whisked into the heart of Stowe for the ceremony at Blessed Sacrament Church. After the ceremony, Meghan and Matt made a pit stop for their couple’s portraits at the top of Edson Hill Road, each shot taken by The Light + Color photography filled with lush Vermont shades of greenery popping from every direction of the camera lens.

Guests were welcomed back to Edson Hill for cocktail hour on the Upper Patio. After the couple’s first dance, everyone was invited to the reception dinner in the beautifully decorated Dining Room. After cutting their wedding cake assembled by North Country Donuts (tres leches coconut cake, with coconut cream, to be exact) the party really kicked off down on the Tavern Patio. The Matt Bourdeau band kept everyone dancing all night long beside the firepit and underneath the market lights.
