Edson Hill’s historic trail network was created by the Heath Family in the 1950s. Maintained by an old “Trucker” snowcat with skis on the front, Larry Heath remembers skijoring with guests way back then. Edson Hill’s current team has been working hard to bring the trails and our entire nordic offering back to its glory while providing our guests and all of Stowe with another great ski area for groomed cross country skiing, side- and back-country access as well as snowshoeing.

Our Nordic Center has been enriched with professional grooming equipment, great additions to our rental fleet, some ski tuning equipment, and a retail offering with some essential gear and Edson Hill logo-wear available.

Lessons + Tours
Private 1-Hour Lesson $100
Receive one-on-one instruction from a qualified instructor. Great for any ability level. $30 for each additional person, per hour. Add on a full-day of rentals for $25.
Scheduled 1-Hour Guided Private Group Snowshoe Tour $75
Join a meandering tour through forest and field on our beautiful snowshoe trails. Great for any ability level. Price includes up to 4 guests. $35 for each additional person, per hour. Add on a full day of rentals for $25.
TRAIL RULES + REGULATIONS
Skis or Snowshoes are required to use the Trail System, and a Trail Pass is required. We love dogs, but they are not permitted on the Trail System. Skiers and Snowshoers traveling downhill have the Right of Way. When overtaking another Skier or Snowshoer, please announce your presence. Snowshoers, please stay off the Classic Ski Tracks.
