Hannah & Colin | August 8, 2022

Vermont has held a special place in Hannah & Colin’s hearts from the very start. Beginning with Hannah’s family home rooted in Woodstock where the pair escaped for most of the pandemic, to the couple’s first vacation together, the two consider the Green Mountain State their place. The one-time high school sweethearts found their way back together after college. Colin proposed to Hannah at their favorite spot, Long Trail Brewery, in Autumn of 2021, and after that there was no question that they would tie the knot in Vermont.

It was shortly after that we were introduced to the duo and began our journey planning their Stowe wedding. The couple fell in love with Edson Hill long before their engagement; “I fell in love with (Edson Hill’s) natural beauty, and intimate setting. It was like no other venue I had seen before, from the amazing food to the unique opportunity to have the whole property, Edson Hill seemed to have everything. Edson Hill is Vermont luxury at its best, their accommodations are incredible and unmatched, and there are so many activities for guests to do on the property. No one else quite captured my dream vibe like Edson Hill. We wanted a romantic setting that was full of fun, and Edson Hill does just that.” said Hannah.

Hannah & Colin’s wedding weekend began with a lively Rehearsal Dinner on the Upper Patio, beautifully decorated by Bramble & Bloom for a simple, summer aesthetic tied together perfectly with Edson Hill’s summer greenery. The Groom’s parents kicked off the weekend welcoming guests with a toast, followed by dinner and a welcome party on the Tavern patio where all of the guests shared smiles, laughter and drinks into the evening before the big day.

Wedding day began with breakfast for Hannah and her bridesmaids, before they headed into hair and makeup prep with a little help from Jennifer Perelli & Christina DeMag. Tent production was already in full swing in the wedding lawn by PEAK Event Services. The groomsmen enjoyed lunch in the Tavern and some brews from Long Trail Brewery before Colin & Hannah made their way down to the ceremony arbor.

The newlywed couple made their love official beneath the natural arbor and then headed up to the tent to celebrate with their family and friends where they enjoyed their first dance together to Fallen So Young by Declan J Donovan before getting the party started with a little help from DJ Dan Cahill. The warm temperatures made for a perfect sunset as the couple and their guests danced the night away in what was a quintessential Vermont wedding, all captured by the one and only Joshua Kane Photography.
